An important point to remember is 4:3 screens offer both 4:3 & 16:9 viewing. A dedicated 16:9 screen has less drop down (material).
Optiwerx 4:3 screens can be remote adjusted or permanently set to your desired format.

SIZE & FORMAT
Screen size is measured from diagonal corners. i.e. a screen that is 2.4m in length extends to become 120”/1.8m when used in 4:3 mode. The same screen in 16:9 mode measures 110”/1.3m. This is shown in the diagram below.

When determining screen size, there are two basic principals.

Ensuring you have allowed for the maximum width and extension length of your screen.
Confirming the recommended screen size for your projector (refer to user manual or manufacturer). Having a huge 200” screen when your projector is designed to display on a 100” screen will most probably compromise on image quality and brightness. Bigger is not always better.

Screen Format is quite simple to decide upon. Many times over we have had enquiries as to what screen format is best or most suitable. The common answer is that by purchasing a 4:3 screen, you get the best of both worlds as like any high end screen, our screens can be operated and set by the convenient remote to your desired mode – 16:9 / 4:3 or 4:3 extended. What’s more, all Optiwerx electric screens can be permanently set to extend to one mode only. Note: the default mode is 4:3.
