BIDDING FROM EUROPE?? I do have several European Power Adapters which are OEM for this unit; 100-240 volt input with the prong plug vs US Type. Please advise if you would like the European Adapter for this unit, or a US Adapter will be shipped. (See Picture of Euro Adapter).
You can find other "similar" currently on eBay for less. You can even find other "new." However for a very small difference in pricing you will get a "complete" basic set-up including all the software. Now isn't that worth the few extra dollars you might pay for this great hp scanner?
PLEASE: Be sure that before bidding, or buying you "research" your item and to read the "entire" listing. Also, please remember that even older models will have similar functions, or even better features than many current models. For instance, this 7450 has a "legal" size scanning bed and yet smaller size which no current model has available. Current HP Scanner models are totally constructed of plastic which is not true with the 7400 series, scanner body is metal. This is another example of "older is often better" than a newer model; prices go up and quality goes down to cut construction costs. Hewlett-Packard is not currently manufacturing a "legal size flatbed" scanner with an automatic document feeder. This is another reason why this model has such longevity and is such a "hot" item on Ebay; many current models with feeders are "sheet fed, stand up" models unless you are willing to spend quite a bit of money for a "large format" model. The last, more compact hp ADF scanner manufactured was the 7650 and larger was the 8270 which does have a legal size scanning bed.
** PLEASE NOTE THE INCLUSIONS BELOW. You may find a lower start bid, or even a lower "Buy It Now," but will you have the software and all the OEM parts necessary to have a "fully functioning" unit. A "power up" warranty does not include an "operational warranty;" ONLY THAT THE SCANNER WILL "POWER UP." Does the scanner have ALL the operational software necessary for "full functioning?" Remember, driver downloads ONLY INCLUDE THE DRIVERS AND DO NOT INCLUDE THE OEM SOFTWARE SUCH AS "IRIS" OPTICAL CHARACTER RECOGNITION. THE INCLUDED SOFTWARE ALONE IS A BONUS WITH ESRUN SCANNERS. Even if you buy "used" and manage to escape the normal the cracks, scratches, dents included with "normal use," will the lamp last for more than even the 30 days which some seller's "warranty" the item for? HP estimates that a scanner lamp should last at least 4 years with normal use. Most of these "used" units have been in operation for WELL OVER six years. Actually, this "smokin deal" you may get is most likely operating, "on a wing and a prayer."

Operating Systems: THE 7400 SERIES IS SUPPORTED WITH A "7400 BASIC DRIVER" for use with VISTA. Full function drivers and software with any other Windows versions. Hp states you can install Basic Scanner Driver and then use the "Scanner and Camera Wizard" within VISTA to operate with TWAIN functions. This is similar to a Basic Printer Driver. Once the "basic driver" is installed it will also enable your TWAIN enabled programs which offer a feature of "aquire, scan, or import" within that program, or include a "scanner icon". Twain options are built in to most word processing, photo, or creative print programs such as Printshop, or Printmaster. Twain features are also incorporated in MS Word, Excell, Microsoft Office, Corel Wordperfect, etc.
Remember, XP will be supported by MS until at least 2012 still making the 7400 series a very viable, quality scanning choice and at a much lower cost than when first introduced.

You are bidding on a NEW ScanJet 7450C , Legal-Professional Scanner with Legal size scanning bed and ADF. The set-up includes the HP ScanJet 7450c (c7710a) Professional-Business Sized Scanner with Oversized Scanning Bed, Legal-Business sized Automatic Document Feeder (c7716a), Installation Software, Read Iris Optical Character Recognition software, HS USB II Cable and Power Adapter. This unit does NOT include the XPA Adapter with templates kit used for scanning photo slides and negatives. It does NOT include the SCSI cable, or SCSI cards which would make this scanner a 7490c model. This is NOT a "refurbished lemon" others would sell as "new." Not shipped in origional packaging as unit was "display", "floor stock", or "discontinued stock" from a retailer such as Office Max, Office Depot, Fry's Electronics, Staples, etc. This is "the primo," professional scanner from HP and the "winner" of this auction will own HP's top of the line scanner at an "unbelievable" price for a NEW scanner. The 7450c-7490c would have sold for approx. $900.00-$1200.00. This model was replaced by the current 8200 series which has primarily changed only in style. Also the 8200 series included changes made in its' speed and software capability and "retails" for over $1000 . Being an older model and very light colored there can be "very slight" discoloration noted to the chassis. Also, because it was manufactured for almost five years there can be very slight "dye lot" difference noted between the scanner and ADF. You would need to be very meticulous to notice these issues.

Software Included With This Unit: 7400 series setup includes Read Iris "Basic," Optical Character Recognition program "built in" which is included within the 7400 setup software and Read Iris Pro seperate version. Read Iris enables text to be scanned into and then edited with Microsoft Word, Word Perfect and/or other word processing programs. No more tedious hours of recopying text documents for editing. Also, scans into Excel, Quatro Pro, many Adobe programs, Paint Shop, Broderbund Print Shop-Print Master and other programs having a Twain interface (Twain enabled with this scanner) which is recognized and linked to the scanner. Scanning with Twain allows "infinate," repetitive editing of a scan. The software and drivers are Window's XP compliant as are"digitally signed." VISTA users are required to download the "HP 7400 Basic Feature Driver." HP continually offers "updates" for drivers on the WEB. "Shipping damage" must be handled thru UPS/USPS Claims. If shipping damage occurs, buyer is expected to cooperate with UPS/USPS Claims and a "new" replacement will be shipped. Item is "eligible" for HP One Year Replacement Warranty for malfunction and one year tech support. HP warranty is @ discretion of HP and has no reflection whatsoever on seller. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: Seller is NOT responsbile for "shipping times." USPS states that "Priority Mail and International Express" delivered in 5-8 days; this is NOT guranteed. Recently a ship to Italy took 21 days including the time in Customs. Also, many countries "contract" for postal delivery services and there is no delivery time gurantee with these "consignee's" of the local postal authority.
SHIPPING DAMAGE WITH INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS: It is the buyer's responsibility to "report shipping damage and make claims for damages with their local post office officials. Changes to International Postal Regulations now include that, "shipping claims must be paid to the receiver." Replacement for damage loss will only be made upon "ANOTHER" payment for the replacement as the "origional damage claim is paid to you, the receiver." Recently, a scanner sold and shipped to a buyer in Australia was damaged. I immediately shipped a replacement when the buyer reported to me "a damage claim number." I filed an "Electronic Damage Claim" thru the USPS web site with all the required details. Unfortunately, the buyer either never actually turned in the damaged scanner and gave me a "bogus" damage number, or he received the insurance payment and never notified me. I was not aware that the claim WILL ONLY PAID TO THE RECEIVER until I received a response to my "Official Inquiry." All I can find out is "Case Closed" and I received a "form" letter. My own damage claim has been rejected by the International Postal Authority because "no rifeling or damage has been found" which was stated in the "form letter" and actually means there was no damaged item to inspect. It appears the buyer never did actually turn in the scanner and report the damage as he told me. Now, the buyer will not respond to my requests for a copy of the "receipt" he would have received from his post office with that damage claim number he gave me. I have not only lost the cost of the scanner, but the costs for replacement sent and the second shipping charges to Australia. Of course, HE GAVE ME WONDERFUL FEEDBACK!!! If you notify me, "my shipment is damaged" I will respond, "The shipment was insured for the full cost. It will be necessary for YOU to file a damage report and claim with your post office as YOU WILL BE THE PERSON THE CLAIM IS PAID TO. Remember to obtain a receipt for the damaged item from your Post Office should they ever claim the item was not turned in to them. I will gladly assist you will filing a claim on this end, but YOU must ensure that YOU receive payment for the damaged item."
