The guitar slide is an ingeniously designed tool, and an essential accessory in any guitarists gig bag. 


Jim Dunlop #220 - Medium fits ring size 9  (19mm x 22mm x 60mm)  For anyone who has struggled with difficult chord shapes and changing them quickly Slide guitar playing will be a revelation.
 
You can play in standard guitar tuning or you can return your guitar to open chords and we supply you with a guide to Four of those most popular tunings. Fretting a guitar with a slide is infinitely easier than with fingers, hey some of those Jazz chords can be murder to play, so give you’re usually contorted fretting hand a rest.
 
To the uninitiated a guitar slides are usually a two inch tube of hard material, commonly made from glass or metals. The guitar slide is pressed lightly against the strings, but not pressed down so hard as to cause the strings to touch the fret below. This produces a sustained tone which can be varied in pitch by moving the slide across the neck. A quick side-to-side motion is often used in this way to generate vibrato.
