Kolejny już raz grozi warsztatowi samochodowemu Onufrego Majewskiego ruina. Onufry ma już wypróbowany sposób na zażegnanie katastrofy. Zawiadamia swą ciotkę w Ameryce o narodzinach kolejnego dziecka. Ta, wzruszona, przysyła odpowiednią sumę pieniędzy. Ale oto nadchodzi wiadomość, że ciotka Agata jest w drodze do kraju . . . Za swego siostrzeńca bierze ona Florka, zwanego Niedorajdą, mechanika pracującego w warsztacie. Na pytanie gdzie są pozostałe dzieci, Onufry odpowiada, że jedno zmarło, dziewczynka zaś uciekła z domu do rewii. Ciotka postanawia ją odnaleźć i sprowadzić na drogę cnoty. W tej sytuacji Florek musi jeszcze zagrać rolę swej siostry bliźniaczki. A przecież kocha Basię, wychowanicę ciotki Agaty, którą chciałby poślubić Zenek, syn Onufrego . . . Wreszcie wszystkie oszustwa wychodzą na jaw, ale ciotka Agata, wzruszona miłością młodych, zgadza się na małżeństwo Basi z Florkiem.
