Ideal for Premenopausal Women & Vegetarians
After analysing a variety of multivitamin supplements to find one that promotes ideal & optimal health benefits, RisingHealth is happy to list NOW Foods Vit-Min 75+.
Multivitamin and multimineral supplements are specifically designed to provide a variety of both essential and/or non-essential nutrients for the body. The primary purpose of these supplements is to allow individuals the option of taking only one or a few dietary supplements that provides many nutrients to the body. Multivitamin supplements can help to prevent both vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and are used by many to increase essential nutrients in the body to achieve additional health benefits. Lack of a particular vitamin or mineral in our diets can lead to an inability of many, significant chemical reactions in our body to not perform at optimal efficiency levels. Processed foods, (such as those present in supermarkets), ruthlessly strip away many vital nutrients and vitamins before they even reach our shelves!
While iron may be included in a good multivitamin supplement, it is not necessary. Phosphorus is also another essential mineral required by the body, but so much is consumed in the human diet that additional amounts, via supplements, are not needed. It is also estimated that 15%-20% of the Australian population already consume more than enough iron in their diets without any need for supplementation. However, this product would be ideal for both vegatarians and vegans, as well as premenopausal women.
Comparing the ingredients of NOW's Vit-Min 75+ formula with major brands such as Centrum™ and Swisse™, NOW's patented formula proves to be quite economical:

There are so many benefits from taking multivitamins that it is hard to know where to start! The benefits of supplementing with NOW Vit-Min 75+ include, but are not limited to:
Moderate Vitamin A Content: Excessive Vitamin A intake can lead to birth defects and inhibits Vitamin K regulation. Headaches, anaemia and problems in bone and nail density have been attributed to long periods of excessive vitamin A intake. Keeping in mind that vitamin A is found in red, orange and yellow fruits and vegetables (giving them their colour), it is not a common deficiency in Industrialised Nations.
High in Vitamin B12: As people age, the ability to absorb this vitamin from food is diminished. Deficiencies are common in this vitamin and vegetarians can typically only gain B12 from supplementation.
High in Vitamin D: Used to promote calcium absorption, 400 IU is a generous amount that is ideal for those who are shift workers and/or have limited sunlight exposure.
No Vitamin K: People taking anticoagulant medications (blood thinners, such as Warfarin) should avoid sudden changes in Vitamin K intake. Green, leafy vegetables are a good source of Vitamin K.
High in Selenium: The average person needs 55mcg of Selenium per day. Individuals in need of specific Selenium supplementation could consult our alternative listing.
Additional vitamin and mineral supplementation for specific individuals may be necessary:
Pregnant women should take additional folic acid. Check out our economical folic acid supplement.
Our Iron-Free Multivitamin is ideal for men and postmenopausal women. This supplement is ideal for vegetarians and premenopausal women.
For those in risk of Osteoporosis, please review our Calcium & Magnesium supplement.
