New Zealand Bush Lily, Bush Flax

Astelia fragrans

(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List)

A native of New Zealand and probably the best known native plant in that country. It is a large-leaved flax-like plant growing to 1m with a spread of 1.5 metres at maturity.

Astelias are adaptable to most soils in a sunny or shady position. They are moderately tolerant of frost, drought and salt winds but they do not like humidity. The fragrant flowers are followed by orange berries

Offered is a packet of 20 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this large lily.

All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
