This is the tragic story of the talented tribesman whose paintings of Central Australia brought him fame and fortune

Up for auction is this is paperback by one of my favourite Australian artist, Albert Namatjira, the story of his struggle for recognition and his endeavour to fulfil his obligations under tribal laws to white society, titled, ‘Namatjira’: Wanderer Between Two Worlds, written by Joyce D. Batty, with a foreword by Sir Paul Hasluck, Minister for Territories 1951-1963 and published by Rigby/Seal Books in 1976.

Superbly illustrated with black and white photographs.

The condition of this (158-page) softcover book is in good condition with minimal shelf-wear to wrapper, no tears, missing pages, with a neat inscription.
