Jonah Thompson is Dine' (Navajo) and grew up on the Navajo reservation in Kayenta, Arizona.  He belongs to the Coyote Pass and Redhouse of the Navajo people. 
 
Flutemaking was taught to him by his Uncle.  Jonah attends many pow-wows and art markets around the Southwest to sell and share his flutes and stories with people.  
 
Jonah's philosophy of flutemaking is that the flute was given to the First People as a Gift.  The Music to be shared in prayer, in friendship, and in recreation.
