At only AU$439, the Kogan Agora Netbook PRO is the cheapest 10" netbook in it's class.* It is the perfect balance of ease of use, portability, features, and value for money.
Powering the Kogan Agora Netbook PRO is gOS, a very aesthetically pleasing, powerful, intuitive, and fast operating system. gOS is a variant of Ubuntu Linux, but the Kogan support team will happily guide you through the process of installing other operating systems. The team has tested several alternatives, all of which worked very well, including Ubuntu Netbook Remix™, KDE4™, Windows XP™, and Windows 7™.

I just received my Kogan Agora Netbook Pro today. I was very pleased to turn it on and start it up. Already being familiar with the linux distributions, I felt at home using the simple gOS and what is more pleasing is that there is a good integration of WINE (able to run Windows programs) and the Mac OSX aesthetics.
I am disappointed with the power/connectivity of the WiFi device. Being only in the next room and the connectivity is often either full or drops one bar.
I am sort of shocked at the battery life. It says up to 6 hours with a 6-cell battery, yet I can only get 3hrs 45min from it. My sister recently got the government netbook which has a battery life of 5hrs 35min on a 6-cell battery... so I don't really know where it's going. I am disappointed with the shortened battery life.
For people looking to buy a netbook - this is a great deal in my opinion. The netbook is extremely fast and runs great with gOS or Windows 7 (if you can install it).
In summation:
Why to buy?: Very inexpensive, fast, light/portable and has a nice clean bright display.
Why not to buy?: Shorter battery life than other models, weak WiFi connectivity, gOS may not be the best for beginners (but I love it).
I just received my new Agora Pro netbook and I'm loving it. First thing I did was install Win7 on it (just can't get used to gOS) and it did this without issues from USB installation. Speed is great - I would recommend paying that little bit extra and going the Pro as the extra RAM and 6 cell battery is well worth it. Postage was super fast. I ordered on Monday afternoon and it arrived Wednesday morning! Love it.
Only gripe, if I must have one, is the smaller key size for the "," and "." key (particularly the "." as you use that one all the time both general typing and web surfing). They could have made the left shift key a bit smaller to allow them to be standard size. But that's a small complaint for a truly great performing netbook!
