What is a monocular anyway? What is the difference
A monocular is a miniature, low powered scope which you hold in your hand like a binocular but use with one eye like a telescope. A Monocular contains the merits of both binoculars and spotting scopes whereas with much smaller size. It can be small enough to slip easily into a pocket or a purse (like this one!). By contrast a spotting scope or a binocular is too huge to take along, there is always a monocular.
