New GE "DLD" Dichroic Reflector Lamp DFZ DFE DGB DMD !!

This is a new General Electric DLD 80 watt 30 volt lamp with dichroic reflector, equivalent also to the type DFZ.

The dichroic reflector means whiter light on the screen but less heat on the film. This is a new lamp, with box missing, with no sign of bulb blackening. Compare at $32 to $40 elsewhere. This is NOS (New Old Stock) which is not a problem, contrary to misinformation published elsewhere; lamp filaments do not get more brittle with storage. Also, there is a vacuum inside so no way for the reflector to get oxidized or tarnished. It has been tested and will be well padded for shipment.

This can also replace lamp types DFE, DGB and DMD if your projector has room for a bulb with 1/4" larger diameter to suit the larger reflector. The optimum focus distance is a bit different so light uniformity might be a bit lower in this other equipment.

Rated average life is 15 hours in continuous burning, but nobody including the manufacturer or myself will warranty the life of a particular bulb. It will be shortened by turning it on and off, vibration, shock, high line voltage over 120, inadequate cooling air, and maybe even by the phase of the moon. ;-)
