Beauty. Brains. Charm. Tess McGill (Melanie Griffith) has them all. In fact, shes got everything going for her except the right haircut, the right clothes and most importantly, the right job. Ambushed one too many times in her struggle to get out of the Wall Street secretarial pool and onto management track, Tess decides to take matters into her own hands. When her classy, seductive and treacherous boss (Sigourney Weaver) breaks a leg skiing, Tess steps, literally, into her boss shoes as well as her apartment, her corner office and her $6,000 dresses. Suitably disguised. Tess forms an alliance with a very capable and very attractive Wall Street investment banker (Harrison Ford). Together, they create a deal that could catapult Tess into the big time or finish her off for good.

 

9 to 5:

9 TO 5 is the much loved revenge comedy about three female office workers (the terrific trio of Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and Dolly Parton) in a giant corporation who are subjected to the indignity of a chauvinist boss (played marvelously by Dabney Coleman). They entertain wild fantasies to get even through a series of outrageous incidents. When the film first came to theatres in 1980, it was a huge hit not just because of the quality of the film but because of the subject matter of women being treated fairly in the workplace. Dolly Partons theme song was nominated for an Academy Award.
