Hmmmm HID. Can you imagine how good it would be to see in the dark with a HID Flood light?
 
technical info
The light itself is a 5" x 7" Marine Flood Light. It is water proof sealed. The mounting is sturdy and in stainless steel.

The globe is a H1 35Watt 4300k HID Globe and this comes with the ballast. As it draws only 35Watts it is cooler than a convensional 100 Watt Halogen globe (so no over heating) and you can leave it on 3 times longer than the Halogen without worrying about batteries going flat, etc.

This light could be used on any boat for night fishing or repairs, caravan or camper camping. At only 35 watts the battery wont have any issues and you have amazing HID light.
fitting tips

Ideally this would be mounted on the rear of a vehicle as a reversing light. A great place is on the wheel carrier if you have one. It can be readilly hooked up to the reversing light (we can supply a loom $55 so that when the dash switch is on the light will come on with the reverse light and turn off automatically when you you take the car out of reverse. If the dash switch is off then the light wont come on at all). You could also mount it us as a general work or flood light.

Just think - when pitching a tent in the dark you can have this light illuminating the entire camp site. No need to have the engine running.

You can fix a car on a dark roadside, fix a fence in the dark, finish that project when day light runs out.
