Why fans are good for your computer system

It's a well known fact: Heat damages transistors which exist almost everywhere on your computer, all over the motherboard, graphics card, sound card, memory modules (RAM) and most importantly, your main Intel / AMD Processor (CPU). Your entire motherboard and computer needs access to cool air. Not just the processor (CPU)!. The damage is also exponential as the temperature increases, so don't under-estimate the damaging effects of heat.
Fans are a great low cost and proven investment. It is well known that cooler temperatures and airflow (hot air out, cold air in) very significantly extends the life of your computer's components, and allows the main CPU fan (responsible for most noise) to run much slower, producing less noise.
Without good cooling, Your computer will not last long, and you risk damaging it before you get a chance to sell it off as a 2nd hand item when you upgrade.
Most modern day computers have Intel and AMD processors, hard drives, motherboards and RAM modules that produce so much heat that additional fans are usually required to suck out hot air, especially in summer. Heat is the most serious problem in laptops which limit their performance compared to desktop computers. This is why it is important to have a good cooling solution so you can get the best performance from your computer.
General Overview of these fans

These fans are rare, considering they are essentially like a vacuum cleaner, and are thus hard to manufacture, so you probably won't find them for any less than $20 online. As such, we are starting them around this price including postage. Although they don't move as much air compared to cooling pads or traditional fans, they make up for this with power efficiency, which means more heat is removed for each unit of electricity consumed by the fan compared to traditional methods.
These fans are also very quiet, and for the same amount of noise as most other cooling pads, this device will provide much greater cooling performance. (obviously they cannot match the extremely expensive ones out there with noise cancellations etc), however, they make up for this with their cooling efficiency.
The cyclonic vacuum technology is utilised here for cooling efficiency, not brute force power. This device is designed to create only a low power vacuum which is designed for extracting heat efficiently and very quietly in a small device space; rather than generating strong negative air pressure areas like in most noisy vacuum cleaners. Therefore, please do not expect them to perform as mains powered vacuum cleaners.
Beware other laptop cooling fans such as some foldable [>=<] / X shape types. They often just circulate hot air around without getting rid of any heat, and is often counter-productive. Also beware the myths about quiet ball bearing fans. If you study physics, you will recognise that the noise in most of these Brushless fans (and Ball-bearing fans) are mostly caused by the air pressure waves being moved by the fan blades, not so much from the bearings! So don't get tricked! Ball bearings do help reduce noise, but that is compared to the OLD Brushed DC fans like those used in racing car toy motors. Most New modern fans (like this fan we are selling here) use quiet brushless sleeve bearings, so ball bearings barely reduce noise much compared to these brushless fans. The dust that collects on your fan will quickly turn a very expensive 'quiet' fan into a noisy one no different to any other fan. This brushless fan is already quiet, and because it comes with far far more blades than a traditional fan and a slim design, it doens't have to spin as fast, and is less affected by noise from dust.. This fan is already quiet, and the casing helps reduce the amount of noise it generates.
Maintenance is easy. A free screwdriver is included so you can easily open it easily to clean and blow off any dust. A touch of WD40 surface protectant / lubricant and air dusting will also enable this device to run smoothly and have a very long shelf and operational lifespan.
Remember to blow away the dust and keep this device clean and they will easily outlast all other new expensive ball beating fans and laptop cooling pads that most lazy people can't be bothered cleaning (remember, no fan will last long if you don't maintain them or clear them of dust, with or without ball bearings)
This device works with any USB 5.5V power source. You can even connect them to a USB power adapter to power them from the mains.
Similar to ambient lamps, the blue LED is designed to provide a cool, soothing glow without draining any significant amount of power.

Most power efficient laptops have high temperature tolerance limits. This means, your laptop computer may 'decide' to shut off it's own internal fan just because there is another fan working on the outside to keep the temperature cool. So if you attached this fan and ask yourself why the core temperature hasn't dropped much, this is most likely because the computer is actually happy with it's current temperature and has shut off the internal cooling fans (leaving this vacuum fan to do all the hard work), hence the temperature mysteriously remains constant even though there are now 2 fans!. Obviously, if you run processor intensive applications, or if you set your computer's internal fan to run non-stop, then a significant drop in temperature would probably be noticeable more easily due to the extra fan.

This vacuum fan requires a heat exhaust port that it can latch onto. The hooks/latches are 3mm high and extend about 5mm outwards from the vacuum mouth (adjustable using the wheel). They are designed to grip the inner edges of a typical heat exhaust port / hole on laptops, but not all laptops have this ability, so make you should do some measurements first (see image below for an explanation)
The absolute minimum / maximum widths of the gap/structure that this cooler is designed to attach to, should be no smaller than 3.6cm and no larger than 4.8cm (this is if you bend the pins on this cooler), otherwise the cooler will not be able to hold itself in place. (By default, if you choose not to bend the pins, this cooler will attach to any hole that is between 3.9cm to 4.5cm wide).
Alternatively, you can use other means to connect it to your laptop at your own discretion. You can even use additional adhesives like Blue-tak, office / duck tape / glue at your own discretion to improve the air seal.
Please see the images below for an explanation.
