 Title: "The Artist's Model" ARTIST'S STATEMENT This image takes you on an imaginary journey into your own private artist studio. An elegant model is posing in the background waiting for you to make your next brushstroke. You get to reinterpret what you see onto the canvas. Translating her beautiful female form into a painted image. This "Painting" was made by creating virtual sculptures in three dimensional space within a computer but is finally realised on traditional high quality art paper as a fine art print. The image looks at traditions and progress in fine art media including the use of leading edge technology. Thus it asks the age old question "What is art?". This image is: Composed to show an imagined painting on a stretched canvas whose subject is the 2D digital image resulting from the render of a virtual 3D sculpted model. So this image asks the questions: When did the artist’s vision become an acceptable art work? Perhaps before its physical undertaking when it only existed as a concept or idea? Or is it yet to materialise as an ‘artwork’ as further physical transformations develop? So is intent, craftsmanship and creativity silenced by the post modernist stance? For it is not until a work is appreciated that it lays claim to the title "FINE ART"? No nude models were used in the making of this image… The human form is endlessly challenging as an artists subject. It is a live, moving, breathing creature. Or is it?

Each print comes with a signed certificate of Authenticity directly from the artist which includes a written artist statement about the image that you are purchasing. She has won numerous international art contests. Her former employment includes Artist-In-Residence and Private Art Tutor for a community centre and an Art Teacher for a children's resource unit.
