This interesting kit was recently developed in the workshops of our 'Bulahdelah Alum & Timber Company'. After numerous requests for more structure kits, we have developed an attractive and versatile boilerhouse, just the thing to power you mine or mill!

Prototype History:

Our Boilerhouse is loosely based on a prototype steam boiler, chimney and winding engine once located at the top of the Hartley Vale Incline near Mt Victoria in the Blue Mountans region of New South Wales. Shale was mined at Hartley Vale and refined kerosene oil was hauled up the 45 degree incline in tankers using a direct line pull from the powerful winch. A small loco then hauled the tankers along a narrow gauge line the short distance to the main line interchange.
