THIS IS VERY OLD WEST JAVANESE RICE BOWL (DULANG) . PLEASE NOTE THE CONDITION OF THE DULANG. THE TIMBER IS TEAK AND THERE IS OBVIOUS SIGN OF MANY YEARS OF CONTINUAL USE IN THE VILLIAGE (KAMPUNG). THE TIMBER IS GOUGED OUT AT THE TOP BUT THIS IS OFTEN INTENTIONAL TO REST THE MIXING SPOON. THERE ARE SOME CRACKS, HOWEVER THIS ADDS TO THE APPEAL OF THE ITEM. A NICE DECORATOR PIECE AND CURIOS.
THE DIAMETER OF THE BOWL IS 43.5cm; HEIGHT IS 20cm AND THE WEIGHT IS APPROX 4.5Kg.
