This beautiful Fine Tribal Persian Shiraz Rug was woven by tribes people in the Southern region of Iran in Shiraz. It is a fairly recent weave; thick and strong and heavy in excellent condition. This rug was woven approx 30 years ago, the colours have meelowed and the rug is in excellent condition.

It is all woollen construction, woven on a woollen warp and weft. It has a most attractive colour depth of earthy colours, reddy plum and indigos. The soft wool has a lovely silky luster and the rug is quite a fine weave as seen on the close up shot. The attractive repeated central medallion design is quite typical of this type of weave. There are also numerous pictorial floral motifs throughout the entire field.

Tribal rugs of this quality are saught after and in high demand and should serve the owner well for many years. It is a good strong heavy weave. Most desirable and ideal for a heavy traffic area.
