	Thanks for looking! On offer is this absolutely beautiful, stately, and regal vintage black leather handbag, c1930's or 1940's. The front of the bag features a panel of black needlepoint with a extravagant bouquet of stunning roses in exquisite tiny petit point stitches. The colours are divine, with various shades of pinks, blues and greens. The petit point on this spectacular collectable handbag represents literally hours of needlepoint, as all the petit point stitches are handworked, the detail on the bag is just beautiful. The handbag frame is leather covered, the interior has two pocket compartments and a seperate zippered section, the lining is black in what appears to be black linen or similar fabric. The bag stands on four little goldtone ' feet' . The interior is clean and tidy. There are two teeny areas on the petit point that have a few stitches missing, I only noticed this on VERY close inspection, they really have to be looked for, and they can be seen on the closeup of the petit point, if you look closely you will see two tiny areas where the petit point webbing is visible. Easily forgiven, this is a gorgeous handbag. There's a lovely goldtone scalloped clasp which snaps shut firmly, this is a preloved antique bag and there is some expected wear and tear, please be sure to scroll down to view all pictures, some of the corners and edges have wear and scuffing, and the leather handle has age wear and tear, particularly where the strap connects to the goldtone loop hardware. I don't mind the worn in look, it adds to the aged authenticty and charm of the bag, and gives just the right amount of vintage character. I have owned this bag for some time and I am reluctantly parting with it, it has earned many compliments over this time, it is a real stunner. I have several other vintage and antique handbags available seperately, including antique tapestry evening bags with needlepointed roses. I am always happy to combine post on multiple items! Similar bags of this type retail for over $US140 elsewhere, and they are regular needlepointed bags, not petit point.
