HDMI 1.3a for Pure Digital Delivery
HDMI version 1.3a enables a pure, all-digital 1080p video signal through one connection. It also transports multichannel audio, including the bit-for-bit, studio master quality Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD® Master Audio. HDMI 1.3a also gives you greater bandwidth, Deep Color™, lip-sync correction and high frame rates.

HDMI and Component Video Upconversion
Upconversion simplifies everything by taking connected components through a single output to any compatible display (including an HDTV). S-Video and composite signals can be upconverted to component video; and composite, S-Video and component signals can be upconverted to HDMI. Upconversion enables a user-friendly solution to outputting all playback components.

Faroudja DCDi Edge™ (Directional Correlational Deinterlacing) Technology
Deinterlacing chips featuring Faroudja DCDi Edge technology convert interlaced video signals to progressive scan signals. This technology helps effectively eliminate video artifacts from HDTV images.
