About This Piece:
Himaphan or Himapan is a legendary forest said to be located in the
Himalayas that is invisible to the human eye. It is said that many mythical
creatures live there, including the Kinaree, beautiful half human winged
creatures like the lovely Manohara. I envisioned the tale of Manohara and how
she was stolen away by a human King while creating this painting. The story ends
happily however and the two fell in love and while painting I envisioned a
beautiful forest alive with mystical creatures and dazzling light. I hope this
icon of Manohara captures her legendary beauty and inspires the viewer to read
more about the legendary tales of the mystical Kinaree.
This beautiful fairy icon took many months to
complete. The intricate designs and patterns symbolizing the mythical forest
Himaphan and its creatures.
Hopefully the viewer will enjoy losing themselves in the minute patterns of
this painting and will find many hours of enjoyment discovering all of the
wonderful little details.
This painting has been varnished with a museum quality UV protective varnish.
It is signed on the front and will include a small card for the buyer and will
be registered including the buyers name in the fine art registry.
