FAIRY GOD-MOTHER

Introducing a gorgeous pink and white fairy god-mother named "Gertrude". Gertrude was hand made by me Melissa McDonnell, based on the pattern "Gertrude" created by Jill Maas. 

Gertrude is a OOAK (One-Of-A-Kind) sculptured cloth doll. She is considered OOAK as no two dolls are ever the same. She is a very detailed doll made with a calico body, arms, legs and head. She is a plumpish little darling with thin arms and legs with knobbly elbows and knees. She has been designed as a shelf sitter so her legs dangle over the edge. She has a bag of weighted pellets in her bottom making her very stable. She has pipe cleaners in her fingers thus allowing you to position them any way you like and her nails have been painted with pale pink glitter. In her hand she is holding a hand-made magic wand which she uses to grant any wish you desire. She has pale pink glitter for earings, and a pretty metallic pink tiara covered with stars. She also has 2 pretty pink butterflies attached. One to her top and the other is resting on her skirt. 

 Her clothes consist of a white cotton lycra body suit with a pink decorative bead and sequin trim edging around the top. She has pink and silver ribbon for her shoulder straps. Her skirt is made up of four layers of pretty pink tulle that is covered with rainbow pink dots. The same fabric has been used to make her belt and has been tied into a pretty bow at her back. Her shoes are painted with pink acrylic and the edge has a 3D effect with pearl pink fabric paint. Her hair is a very soft white fluffy yarn and styled into a bun. Her wings are made with very soft white and pink feathers that gently sway in the breeze, and are removeable for safe shipping. Her face has been given much character with needle sculpting and her facial features were hand painted/drawn by me. Her sideways glance and slight smile gives her a very knowing look as though she knows sooooo much more than she is willing to say. Her eyeshadow is pink as are her lips which were outlined with pink glitter gel pen. Her cheeks are also lightly blushed. She measures approx 34cm (13") high in seated position from tip of shoe to top of bun. She would look great sitting amongst your daisys, on your bookshelf, in your bedroom, or anywhere she can grant you your special wish. She is very very pretty and would make a wonderful addition to any fantasy collection or a lovely gift for perhaps your fairy god-mother!!!
