The materials we use in our mattresses have been specifically chosen for their unique health promoting properties.
This Mattress is Medium Soft and made out of 75mm Natural Latex core (NZ made) at the middle and layer of 500g eco wool on each side, cotton cover and quilted 500g NZ wool with ORGANIC cotton/hemp cover on top.
Natural rubber latex is produced from the rubber tree. Natural latex is recognised for its' therapeutic properties, such as its' ability to provide orthopedic support. It offers optimal posture and lumbar support whilst keeping free of pressure points. This reduces tossing and turning and allows a deeper, more restful sleep. Latex is also hypoallergenic, durable and has thermal qualities. It is porous and therefore breathable, keeping the body cool in summer and warm in winter.
The allure of wool pertains to its ability to regulate temperature and humidity. It provides good insulation and can absorb moisture without feeling damp, as it supports rapid evaporation.These properties make it the perfect material to provide healthy sleep, as it also naturally retards fire.
