ORIENTAL 1950's HAND-CARVED BAR / DRINKS / LIQUOR CABINET
This solid timber vintage Bar Cabinet was bought by my Mum and Dad in
Hong Kong around 1959 and was shipped over to Perth.
Its' unique, 3 dimensional hand-carved panels are quite beautiful,
and it has a treasure-trove of hidden compartments, making this a stunning
piece of furniture.
The top and upper-front open together, revealing a mirrored interior
with a slide-out holder for bottles & glasses, with room to prepare your drinkies.
Both sides of the cabinet open up, and are shelved, and each corner,
made of a solid curved pieces of timber, open up and have room for storing glasses.
Inside the lower half is a slide out section for holding bottles,
and two tiny drawers above for storing your drink coasters, corkscrew etc.
I don't know the type of timber; it has a honey coloured "limed" look and semi gloss finish.
The cabinet measures 81cm across , is 95cm tall and 42cm deep.
It is in very good condition, although the front drop-down mirror
has a slightly "hazy" look on close inspection, and there was a split
in one panel of wood which has been filled.
I also have a matching glass-topped coffee table with four little stools
(they fit underneath) which I will be listing later.
I will be happy to answer any questions, or if you would like more
photos please don't hesitate to ask.
