This Genuine Original First Limited Edition Japanese Woodblock Print by Sugiyama Motosugu is Hand Signed, Titled, Hama Rikyu, Dated 2005 and Numbered 9/100 all in Pencil in the Bottom Margin by the Artist. This Extra Fine Woodblock Print Shows a Scene of The Historic House which was Once a Beach House for the Tokugawa Shogun and is Now a Public Garden and in Typical Sugiyama Style Displays Incredible Detail, Life and Light.

This 2005 Original Sugiyama Woodblock Print is the Low Number 9 of ONLY 100 Ever Created, is Printed on Medium Weight Washi with Ink Bleed Through to the Reverse Side, is in As New Condition and has Never Been Framed. I was Very Lucky to Find it for Sale in Tokyo and Due to a Temporary Fluctuation in Exchange Rates I am able to Offer it at a Very Low First Bid and No Reserve Price. Look at the Pictures.

ABOUT THE ARTIST.

Sugiyama Motosugu,sometimes his Christian name is translated Motuju, was Born in 1925 in Regional Japan but after Marrying Moved to Tokyo with his Wife who was born in that City. He began Studying the Woodblock Art with Funasaka Yoshisuke in 1975 and after Retiring from Work in 1995 Decided to Begin an Artistic Life in 1995. He Has Created a Unique Style which No One Has Been Able to Successfully Imitate and in These Latter Years of his Life has Won Amazing International Recognition. One of his Works Stole the Show as the Centre Piece of the East Meets West Exhibition in Michigan in 2004.
