| Principle of saliva testing. |
During a woman's monthly cycle there are only about 3 days during which the egg can be fertilised. Because sperm can last up to 72 hours this gives approximately a 6 day window when a woman can conceive.
Just prior to ovulation, salts
(or electrolytes) increase dramatically in saliva and cervical mucus along with oestrogen.
It has been scientifically tested that during the fertile period a sample of saliva or cervical mucus when examined under
a microscope contains fern
like structures.
These fern like structures come from dried out electrolyte crystals that are built up before and during ovulation. |

| How does it work? |
| The OVUCLEAR's optical lens magnifies your dried out sample of saliva. By comparing the image you see with our images you can determine if you are likely to be fertile or not. |
