A dome tent consists of 3 major elements - the Fly, the Inner and Floor, and the Poles.

1. The Flys

UVTEX NANO 2000

This fabric is made from 100% polyester. Polyester is far more UV resistant than nylon and we enhance this characteristic by adding our UVTEX treatment.

The OZtrail NANO Factor is the combination of these textile and construction elements:

• 75-Denier yarn for an even, low-profile weave, for the best waterproof coating adherence
• Waterproof and water repellent technologies
• High density 190-Thread count for maximum seam holding strength
• Double needle sewing
• Factory seam sealed seams
• The PosiBrace System reinforces the entire tent structure

2. Inner including the floor

Breathable 75-Denier polyester and No-Seum-Mesh. The mesh keeps the insects out and allows air to flow through you tent. This and the breathable fabric reduces condensation by allowing the warm moist air inside the tent to readily escape into the void between the inner and the fly. The floor forms a waterproof tub a 'tub floor' as it runs part way up the wall of the tent also. This forms a waterproof overlap with the fly. The tub floor is heavy-duty PE with a 10 x 10 weave weighing 230grams per square metre.

3. Poles

The fiberglass DuraPlus Black Matrix poles are strong and flexible. For ease of use, we have added 'shock cord' (elastic cord) up the centre of the pole sets so they assemble and disassemble easily. Each style of tent has specific diameter poles ranging from 7.9mm to 11mm. The poles are tuned to the tent to encompass the particular curve and span of the poles in each tent design. Small tents have tighter curves and smaller spans than the larger tents, so they have small diameter poles than the large tents.
