Old Antique Wrought Iron 3/4-IN Farm Barn Builder Auger
Description:

 This is a ¾-inch diameter wrought iron auger stamped with a name I can't make out and the number “7”. It dates, I would guess, to the 1800s. It is a size that would have been useful for drilling peg holes in barn beams.  It is in excellent condition and reasonably sharp. The auger is 15 3/4 inches long. The handle looks like oak and is 13 1/2 inches wide and about 1 1/4 inches in diameter at the center.  The handle and auger are in very good condition and could be used.  It weighs 1 pound 2 ounces before packing.  A fine example of a 19th century wrought iron auger to use or collect.
