Old Country Roses Garden Cup n Saucer

Description: Made by Royal Albert's Thomas Wild, at their St Mary's works in Longton, Staffordshire. It has the scratch through backstamp for 1986.

**I had my fingers smacked for not mentioning the potters ID mark on the underside of the cup, inside the actual base ring (see 4th photo RHS). Consider this as being mentioned and if a potters ID mark bothers you then please don't bid.

Condition: Excellent - free from chips, cracks and crazing. The pattern is in first class condition and the trim gilding is near perfect, showing about 1% wear. A super duo in splendid condition.

Size: Footed Cup: 7.5cms tall & 9cms across. Saucer: 14.3cms across.

Decor: Decorated in the very elegant OCR Garden pattern, with the farm house and garden, under a cloudy blue sky. Surrounding this, just in from the rim are swags of multi-coloured roses and outside of this is a very thick gilding around the trim.

Top drawer porcelain from Royal Albert. An excellent cup and saucer in superb condition.
