Two really very beautiful reproduction cast wall plaques- taken from very Old English architectural fixtures most likely from churches. One shows a slightly grotesque figure his hands wrapped about his face, mouth and eyes open. This is in a fine resin like mixture with a sand or similar natural inclusion giving a very convincing stone finish (heavy too)

The other plaque- my favourite- shows the ‘Green Man’ a pre Christian Pagan entity that was readily adopted by the early Christian Church- but which predates it and pertains to a forest life force or woodlands God. He appears with the fronds and leaves of the forest issuing from his face and mouth. Just beautiful. This one has an even more convincing sandstone finish as shown.

I am also selling a beautiful early ‘St George and the Dragon plaque- see it in pics below however you are bidding on these two pieces only. Happy to combine postage if you win the other plaque to!
