Beautiful old wooden spinning wheel, made in Australia (circa 1960s/'70s).  It was hand-crafted by J.H. Wilson, from fine Australian timbers, with a beautiful assortment of grains running through the wood. This would, make a wonderful decorative art piece/ installation, adding a little rustic charm & magic to any home or work place. It could also serve as a nice movie or theatre prop. 

It is in good condition, with no significant signs of wear or damage. There are some minor superficial scuffs to the edge of the wheel, but these are barely noticeable, and they would not have any effect on the functionality of the wheel. The wooden foot pedal down the bottom, is also a little bit damaged. 

This spinning wheel has not been used for some time, so I cannot say if it is operational, or not. I believe that in order to use it, you would need a flyer unit, which this does not have. This spinning wheel is thus, sold as is, with no bobbins, flyer unit, or other accessories.   

This is quite a large spinning wheel, measuring about 1 m (L) x 1 m (H), so it is larger than most other, more compact spinning wheels that come up for sale. Its size makes it all the more impressive, as a decorative/ installation art piece. It is guaranteed to draw the attention of your guests, and will certainly get people talking. 

I would prefer for this to be picked up. I am in the Sydney Metro Area (not far from Strathfield).

Those of you who are living in other states, are welcome buy this, as long as you are willing to organise your own form of transport (e.g. - Interstate courier, removalists, or make the trip & collect it).
