| High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
High-Definition Multimedia Interface imageAs the most advanced interface for
transporting both uncompressed high-definition (HD) video and uncompressed multichannel
audio in all HD formats, including 720p, 1080i and 1080p, HDMI has become the
most desirable connectivity option for home entertainment. Onkyo’s HDMI-enabled
A/V receivers receive HD-quality signals from components such as DVRs, DVD players,
set-top boxes and gaming consoles, and they also provide single-cable output
to a display device with an HDMI or DVI connection.
