This is a 17'print of the painting, spirit, body and consciousness. This is one of the paintings of my series on dance and movement. In this series I study, which lines and colors, within a persons movement, define the soul of a person?’To find the answer I worked for several weeks with one model. We did four photo-shoots, over 2500 photos, hours of organization, observation and dialog, one video-shoot and over a 100 sketches. This resulted into a series I call: ’The Narrative of Motion’. The series contain powerful mysterious poses, I feels like the spirit is pushed out of the physical cage of the body.

About the Artist
Born in Perth WA. Byron grew up in Holland where he attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. Byron has developed a symbiotic relationship between fine art, technology and popular culture through his work as a creative Director in the Digital Games industry and as a practicing Artist. Attracted to the area because of his names sake, Byron is now embedded in the local arts community.
You are welcome to visit my industrial warehouse studio in the Byron Bay Arts and industry estate, here I embrace the new found space to focus and dedicate myself to my new series. I am inspired by humans, artists, dancers and musicians. My work defines itself by a mix classic tradition and expressive action. In my latest work I am going out of the studio and back to the streets, cafe's and the markets for the dynamic of real live.
