The Artist
I am a contemporary Australian artist, born and raised in Brisbane where I work from my home studio. My love of painting and drawing goes as far back as I can remember and although I have no formal training in the arts, I sought opportunities to be a part of it throughout my school days. Over the years I have been drawn to paint time and again, learning techniques and developing my style to what you see today.
With mum as my initial inspiration, I have always enjoyed painting the things in life that make me smile. My works are mainly inspired by the wonders of nature, with the unique flora and fauna of Australia paying a particular focus. I also love to paint things such as the moon, fairy folk and anything my mind might conjure.
Predominantly using acrylics, I like to experiment with the various mediums available and enjoy using traditional as well as unusual tools to apply the paint. My paintings generally reflect a preference for earthy tones, however they can also show my love of vibrant colours, expressing the richness and diversity in life.
