Being offered is a pair of Antique Sterling  Silver Apostle Spoons, with Gilt washed bowls, marked for Birmingham 1877-1878

 There is a skeletal figure who is sitting at the base of the bowl, and the apostle at the top ( it could be St. Andrew with a cross).

 These where often given as  traditional Christening gifts. They have a barley twist handle and are in good condition.

Measuring approx. 18cm long (7 inches)

The spoons are a large size probably used for serving .
