US, Mike Force, Special Forces Detachment A-104 Rare - Base related Patch

US Special Forces Detachment - A-104, Na Thanh (CCN) Special and extra rare patch of the United States Special Forces, Detachment A-104 out of the Mike Force camp at Du Thanh. Showing the Special Forces beret insignia with the colours of the flag of South Vietnam to top, camp detachment assignment and unit motto, ' Illegitimae Non Carborundum ' and additional, is an excellent piece. Detachment A-104 operated from 1965 with the 5th Special Forces Group Airborne - One of the more mobile units had been involved in training of the Indigenous troops since the early 1960's as part of the Mobile Guerrilla Forces Training detachment. Previously had been Special Forces Detachment A331 at Loc Ninh and before that A314 at Tay Ninh (although A-314 was not officially recognised). Role of leading and training indigenous troops they operated in company sized units;
