“A Patrick's Day Hunt” By Martin Ross and E. OE. Somerville, Authors of "Some Experiences of an Irish R.M." First Edition printed in 1902 by Westminster: Archibald Constable & Co., Ltd. London and engraved & Printed at the Racquet Court Press by Edmund Evans It is rare to find this book complete with all the illustrations. Often some of the very well executed full-page colour plates were removed for framing but this book has all original eight plates. The plates are in very good condition, despite some of them being loose. There are also numerous black-and-white illustrations of hunting/sporting scenes, all by Somerville. It is a large book measuring 13 7/8” x 10-3/8" and containing 47 numbered pages. See also the other antique books on horses I have for sale. Please note: All the proceeds from the sale of these 3 “horse/hunting” books are being given to Amnesty International. |
