DIVINE PETITE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH BRONZE & BRASS CIEL DE LIT/BED CANOPY CORONA

This is a gorgeous antique bronze and brass French ciel de lit or bed corona and dates from the early part of the last century and is a divine interior piece. The brass ring to hold the curtains is held with three curved and scrolled arms which are attached to a super central bronze acorn finial so as to resemble a crown. It is then hung from three chains with a hanging ring for ceiling mounting, and has a lovely warm aged gilt bronze patina and is in good condition. It measures 22 ins in height, although the length of the chain could be altered if required, and it is 11 ins in diameter at its widest. These old French bed canopies when draped with either soft muslins or more formal toiles curtains look stunning. A really charming petite French antique ciel de lit that would look gorgeous in any boudoir setting. I am sorry but the curtain drapes are not included.
