Frew publishers 1000th issue (#972)

 

plus Frew's Phantom 1st edition (1948) Replica (This issue was unnumbered)

 

Edition contains Frew and Phantom history, 5 never previously published stories plus 3 unedited classics

This item (and replica) is in MINT and never opened condition and is still in the publishers sealed distribution bag

This is one of an initial printing run of 10,000 copies. The success of sales led to a second run of a further 10,000 copies later in the year.

Included was a replica print of the first (unnumbered) Phantom issue printed by FREW. The production of early replicas was continued

by Frew with each successive replica being included with the yearly Annual Phantom comic from 1991.

 

A rare opportunity to obtain a premium condition Phantom comic from the era that Lee Falk was still alive.
