1080i Upscaling
Many of the programs you might record from TV are going to be in standard definition format. If you want to see them at their best on your HDTV then you need a unit that upscales to a higher definition format. The DVDR3505 will upscale all your standard discs to 1080i for optimal quality in both video and audio.

Progressive Scan
Progressive Scan doubles the vertical resolution of the image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture. Instead of sending a field comprising the odd lines to the screen first, followed by the field with the even lines, both fields are written at one time. A full image is created instantaneously, using the maximum resolution. At such a speed, your eye perceives a sharper picture with no line structure.

If a program is being recorded and you haven't timed the recording correctly, simply push the One-Touch button on your remote and 30 minutes will automatically be added to your record time. You can do this for us to 6 hours.

Chapter Marking
When you set up a program for recording, you can tell the DVDR3505 when you want chapters marked. For the duration of the recording your chapters will be set up at the intervals you have chosen.

Also known as IEEE 1394 and FireWire, i.Link carries all audio and video signals via a single cable digitally, with no loss in picture and sound quality. With i.Link digital video input, you can copy your home videos in their original digital picture quality. This DV input connects to your camcorder so you can record your home movies onto high quality DVDs playable on any DVD player. The DV input is located right on the front of the player so you can connect easily.
