While LED technology is usually associated with standard colour washing effects,
these new fixtures from Light Emotion are going to change the way we use and look at LED.
These new fixtures utilize a special Fresnel style lens that condenses, magnifies and projects the output from each LED in the form of wide individual light beams. These create spectacular projection and mid-air effects - making standard moonflower effects seem ‘old fashioned’ by comparison.
Being LED there are no moving parts to replace, the fixtures are lightweight, portable and can operate in sound active, standalone or full DMX mode.
In sound active mode the beams respond more quickly to the ‘beat’ than conventional lamps and are crisp and punchy. The low power consumption of these fixtures makes it easy to run multiple units on a single circuit. You can daisy chain the power supply and cut back on the number of outlets and power strips used. The dramatic savings in power costs have afforded many users the benefits of reducing energy consumption by up to 80%.
In addition, with minimal heat output and no duty cycle the Photon fixtures can run all night long. And forget about expensive lamp replacement, the LED’s are rated at 100,000 hours plus (the equivalent of leaving these fixtures on 24/7 for 12 years).
