It's pretty obvious that the existence of Pokemon Dash is simply to target the Pokemon demographic early in the DS' launch. It's just a drag that the first Pokemon game for the system couldn't have been a better design. There's a solid foundation here, but the use of the system's functionality in the game design isn't all that creative, and many of the idea implementations hinder the experience than make it a fun one. Pokemon Dash isn't awful, but it's as close to a quickly developed "cash in" title as Nintendo's ever going to create for its systems
