The Polaroid Sprintscan 4000 will, as it's name suggests, scan at 4000 ppi, it comes with both film and slide holders. The original discs and installation manual are there together with Silverfast Ai, recognised as one of the best scanning software packages. This is a SCSI scanner, if you don't have a SCSI card in your computer I will take the one out of mine and supply that. I have been using this scanner and software with Windows XP but have not tried it with either Vista or 7. If you want quality scans then this is the scanner for you but there is no automatic dust and scratches removal, you will have to do that yourself.

Q: Hi, What version of Silverfast please (also, is it the SE or full version). Silverfast is supposed to do scratch removal at least in the full version. Regards, A: It's Silverfast 5. It was bundled with the Sprintscan so I would guess that it is not the full version. Looking at the instruction manual there is no mention of scratch removal. Thanks for looking.
