Digital Television (DVB-T) + Digital Radio
[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]

  • Fixed Digital Set Top Box Capability - Extend this device to your own TV / Entertainment system.
Don't like the small 3.5" screen or earphones? You can connect it to your own LCD / TV / Plasma / Amplifier and use it like a Fixed Digital TV Set Top Box like those you see in stores! (Except this is over 15 times more compact and with more features!).

Absolutely everything that you see and hear on the device will be transferred to your home entertainment system / television!; the Menus, FM radio, Mp3 player, Video Player, eBook Reader, Backgrounds and all will appear on your TV as it did on this device! (it uses your TV in place of its internal LCD screen, so you get a bigger picture, often at higher resolution too in the case of Digital TV and some .avi video files).
To activate the TV Switch, Start from the main menu, select settings > then scroll down to TV format (at the very bottom), select your country's system there (eg; PAL-60 for Australia), then go back to the previous 'settings' menu and activate the TV switch option. Your device will now send all audio and video directly to your own TV / entertainment system at nearly double the resolution! (note the main menu will still remain 320x240, but video and DVB-T output may be higher at 640 x 480 depending on the file type / broadcast)

    For The Best Results:
Set the volume on the device to a very high level / Maximum, and use your TV / Entertainment system to control the volume instead (Start from zero up). This is very important as it will reduce any background noise or humming that might occur due to cable interference.
Power it Non-Stop 24/7 from a USB power supply for near endless power! (from your Desktop / Laptop computer using the included USB cable, or an AC to USB power adapter (optional, not included),
Connect it to a SD / HD capable Television Set (eg; CRT / LCD / OLED / Plasma TV etc) and audio surround system (eg; amplifier) using the included AV Red White and Yellow Audio cables.
Connect it to a More Powerful, Larger, Rooftop Antenna using the included alligator clip jump lead or by winding an aerial core around the antenna (instructions further below), or, you can also permanently solder (weld) a cable to the antenna for a significant improvement at your own discretion.

  • Portability
Watch DVB-T Digital Television on the move, anywhere, anytime; at home, in bed, at work, in the car, on the bus, tram or train! all as a standalone device! (Using the device's own clear 3.5" LCD screen with built-in batteries, telescopic antenna, speakers / earphones).
You can connect it to a USB power supply for extended use or near endless power! (Eg: connect it to a Laptop / Desktop Computer / USB Solar Panel / USB Car charger / USB Battery pack using the USB cable that comes with this device. To power from a computer, use the 'safely remove hardware' option, but keep the device connected and do not unplug it so it still draws power).
Receiver is capable of decoding signals while travelling at < 110km/h relative to tower.

You should connect it to a more powerful / larger antenna with 'Proven' existing DVB-T reception, or else, you may only get very few channels, or none at all!. It is a fact of life that the small antenna included is not powerful at all; this applies to every other DVB-T Tuner antenna elsewhere of similar small size. Money is not an issue as reception is not in our control.
(instructions to connect to an external antenna are further below).

  • DVB-T Format and Compatible Country/Regions
Full DVB-T Compliance standard for most countries using the MPEG-2 Video broadcast format (6,7,8 Mhz) and MP2, AC3 (AC3-0, AC3-1) Audio format.
Please click here (dvb.org) or here (dvt status) for a full list to check if your country is compatible. More information about DVB-T is also available from Wikipedia.
The TV Tuner does not work for local stations in countries like the USA / Canada / Japan / China (non DVB-T regions) unless you are trying to get signals from other DVB-T compatible countries using a powerful antenna. (some regions in america like Colombia, Uruguay, and Panama use DVB-T, but most some do not, so check and make sure your area supports DVB-T, NOT ATSC / ISDB-T / DMB-T/H! as this is a DVB-T Tuner). If you are located in or want us to ship to a region that doesn't support DVB-T, you are not permitted to bid and or buy this item unless you are buying this device for the other features, Audio/Video/FM Radio/eBook features etc, or intend to use it on a holiday overseas in regions supporting DVB-T. Note that this device doesn't support HD. The manufacturer says it supports H264, but we cannot confirm it. Mpeg4 may be possible since the manufacturer says it supports Mpeg2/H264 (but we cannot confirm this so assume it doesn't support Mpeg4/H264). It also probably won't work in countries using Purely H264/Mpeg4 (most countries use Mpeg2 and a mix of Mpeg4 for the HD channels, but some use purely H264 Mpeg4, so please check using the links stated earlier.). This device has been confirmed to work in Australia and countries broadcasting DVB-T in Mpeg2 and MP2 AC3 Audio.

  • DVB-T / Digital Features
    Full DVB-T Standard Features
Common features include the Electronic Program Guide (EPG), Subtitles / Closed captioning (where available), and UHF+ VHF 6/7/8 MHz Bandwidth Automatic and Manual Scanning.
This tuner displays channels in Standard Definition (All channels are available in SD by default). Some channels come in both SD and HD (High Definition), but HD is not really useful / practical for a device this size, so you won't be able to view channels in HD using this device. Also, this is not a DAB+ radio, just standard digital radio using the DVB-T Protocol.

Advanced Audio+Video Multimedia Player [Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]

  • Accepted Audio Formats (MP3, WMA, WAV, APE / FLAC)
    This modern device can play all popular audio formats in high quality usually without any problems at all, such as;
    MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3),
    WMA (Windows Media Audio),
    WAV (Microsoft Waveform) and
FLAC / APE (Free Lossless Audio Codec / Monkey Lossless + Meta Data Tags).

  • Accepted Video Formats (AVI, FLV, RM, RMVB)
This device can play various video files in the common containers , such as AVI (Audio Video Interleave), FLV (Flash Live Video), RM / RMVB (Real Player Video).

Maximum Resolution :
Video resolution must not exceed 640 pixels in width or 480 pixels in height for any video.
(For example: 704x400 is not acceptable because width is greater than 640 pixels, however 512 x 384 or 640 x 363 would be okay)

We individually tested these popular formats to work just fine:
Flash Live Video, H263 encoding (.flv)
YouTube Video (www.kissYouTube.com ;YouTube video downloads) H263 encoding (.flv)
XviD Mpeg4 (.avi)
DivX Mpeg4 (.avi)
MP4 portable devices (.mp4)
DivX 5.05 (.avi)
Windows Media Video 9 (.wmv)
Real Player Video (.rm and .rmvb)

We verified that these formats are not supported:
AVC / x264 / H.264 Mpeg4 (.avi)

Matroska H.264 / AVC / x264 (.mkv)
MPEG1 or 2 (.mpg)
Quicktime (.mov)
l-Pod video (.m4v)

Note: Important misconception about filenames:
Just because a file is labelled as .avi / flv doesn't mean it will play, those are only 'container/names' used to describe the contents. For example, changing the filename of a .MPG file to .AVI won't make it play unless the file was incorrectly labelled at the start. In reality, it is the stuff inside the file that matters, like encoding and resolution etc. You need to re-encode it, not just rename it. (for example; a H264 encoded .avi file will not work, while a DivX .avi file will work even though both are .avi files)

  • High Quality Processor with Customizable 5 Bar Equalizer + Hardware MSEQ 3D + Tru-Bass effects[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
The device comes with a high quality audio processor and special adjustable 5 bar Hardware equalizer (some laptop soundcards don't even have these). You can manually raise and lower each bar to raise or lower the audio strength of each particular frequency, or you can use presets.
Hardware equalizers actually boost power to each frequency that you specify so there is no clipping. MSEQ + Customizable equalizers are available only in Advanced Mp3 players. Even some high end laptop soundcards (like those from Dell) don't have these customizable equalizers (they rely on software equalization which is really poor quality). However, with this mp3 player's equalizer, you can manually raise the lower frequency bars to increase or decrease the strength of various audio frequencies in audio being played to make the audio sound more realistic to suit your ears. Use MSEQ Bass Mode for really enhanced Bass even at volume level 1. We could even hear the deep bass at the very lowest 01 volume level (when using our extreme earphones that we sell separately at our other auctions since we don't like the default ones provided.)

You can customize the equalizer yourself; press the 'M' button to bring up the menu while playing music and open the "EQ Sel" screen. Select "User EQ" to enable user equalization; then just select "User EQ Setup" to start adjusting the equalizer. Lower pitch / lower frequencies are commonly known as 'Bass' (125Hz or under) and are located to the left of the equalizer while higher pitched higher frequencies are commonly known as 'Treble', located to the right of the equalizer). Increasing Bass increases the volume of sounds like explosions or jet engine, drums and deep male voices, while increasing treble helps make sharp high pitched noises sound crystal clear, such as glass shattering, female or children's voices). You don't have to use the user EQ as there are also many various common presets, including the MSEQ special enhanced equalizer with 3D and Bass (Tru-bass) options like on windows media player. If you use the customized equalizer, we recommend raising the bass and treble bars while leaving the middle bars at the default middle level. All these options and more are accessible by pressing the 'M' button while playing music.

  • Advanced Multi-File Audio Video Playlist Position Memory[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
This EXTREMELY improved feature is even better than Windows Media Player. It allows you to continue playing from right where you last left off for multiple files!
For Audio files, the device remembers the song and second you last stop playing for several individual Audio files, So you can pause multiple audio files and continue each of them individually (access this from 'Music Menu> Hold Recollection' ; its at the bottom of the list, so remember to scroll down)
For Video files, this device remembers the second where you last stopped playing for each individual video file. So you can pause multiple video files and continue each of them individually (It will automatically prompt you to continue or restart).

  • Advanced Playlist Sorting[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
You can sort songs and videos by Directory Folders, Artist, Album, Genre, Favourites, and Recorded songs.
You can organise your songs into folders when the device is connected to your computer and easily select a group of songs to play. The device can play groups of songs stored in directories in both the internal memory and the external memory (Micro SD card).
For video files, this device also allows you to browse through the folders on both internal memory and external memory to select the video to play.

  • Multiple Play Modes: Shuffle (Random), Repeat once, Repeat constantly, Repeat All, Intro Only, and In Order
This improved feature allows you to customise the order in which you play your music.
The 'Shuffle' function makes it similar to the l-Pod Shuffle and songs are randomly selected each time from the playlist. Use 'Once' if you want to just play this single song and stop there. Use 'All' to play the songs normally and stop when you run out of songs. Use 'All Repeat' to play all your songs normally till you run out and start over again from the first song. Use 'Intro' to play only the first 10 seconds of each song and move on to the next song. These options are accessible by pressing the 'M' button while playing music
  • Fast Forward / Rewind / Scroll / Skip / Jog Play
Quickly fast forward / rewind through a song
Press and hold the >>l or l<< buttons to smoothly accelerate back and forth each song at up to ~20x normal speed.
  • ID3 File info, Frequency EQ Waveform Bar, Lyrics Display
Visualise the audio file you are playing.
This device can display filenames and ID3 information on the screen as it plays, or a moving real time frequency bar display that responds to the waveforms in your song, or it can display lyrics using .lrc files. To create / use lyrics files, you will need to have a ID3 lyrics file of the same name together with your audio file. These files have extensions ending with ".LRC" and should be of the same filename as the file whom the lyrics belong to : eg: "SongXYZ.mp3" and "SongXYZ.lrc". Lyrics for songs are available for download on the internet, or you can create them yourself. To create lyric files for your music, we will use an example for the song name called "Yesterday_once_more.mp3". The lyric file is called "Yesterday_once_more.lrc" You can download this sample lyric file here. Open it with notepad or a professional lyric creator. Once you see it you should understand how it works. It is just [mm:ss] "mm" for minute, "ss" for seconds and the Lyrics to appear; eg: "[02:18] as they melt the years away" This means that at 2 minutes and 18 seconds into play, the LCD screen will display the text "as they melt the years away" in scrolling fashion. Any lyrics written at the timeslot [00:00] appears when the song is not playing. Once you are done, copy the lyric file into the same location as the mp3 file the lyrics are for.

Digital Voice Recorder (DVR) [Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]

  • Ultra Long Duration Voice Recording + Built in Microphone
This Digital Voice Recorder records in 2 quality settings, and 5 volume levels (tap the M button to change before recording)
High Bitrate: ADPCM Microsoft Waveform RIFF (.wav) at 128kbps, 4-bit mono, 32000Hz, which is nearly normal mp3 audio quality, more than good enough for the inbuilt microphone. You can record ~92 minutes for every 1GB of free space at High Bitrate.
Low Bitrate (default): ADPCM Microsoft Waveform RIFF (.wav) at 33kbps, 4-bit mono, 8000Hz, which is generally good enough for normal voice recording for meetings etc. You can record ~263 minutes (~4.3 hours) for every 1GB of free space at Low Bitrate.

Recorded files are stored in the "\Record" folder on the flash memory with the filename previx "VREC". Voice activated recording is not available in this device. This device saves the radio recorded audio files to the built in internal memory only.

World Band FM Radio + Real Time Recording (FM) + Intelligent Noise Removal [Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]

  • Full Global FM Radio Frequencies Available! - 76 Mhz to 108 Mhz
This USB Radio can receive stations from as low as 76 Mhz to as high as 108Mhz, and store multiple stations.
If you have other 'normal radios' in Australia or in the USA, chances are it can't receive below 87.5Mhz. This special device allows you to listen to and record special FM radio from any FM radio station in any continent in the world that is within range (including special site broadcasts for disabled / handicapped individuals within these frequencies).
You can also switch between Mono and Stereo Output, and autoscan and manually hand tune and store multiple stations in memory. Use the 'Campus radio' receiving area option to access frequencies as low as 76Mhz to 88Mhz , while use countries like Europe or USA to receive the most typical 87.5Mhz - 108Mhz radio frequencies like those used in Australia (there are other settings for country specific bands).

The in-built Digital TV antenna on this device also extends the reception capability even further compared to other radios or Mp3 players without external antennas. You won't have to worry about running out of songs with this advanced Digital FM Radio tuner, You'll have access to a large database of songs through whatever is playing on the radio, and up to date news and weather all from this device.

  • Ultra Long Duration FM Recording[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
This FM Recorder records FM Radio in 2 quality settings, and 5 volume levels (tap the M button to change before recording)
High Bitrate: ADPCM Microsoft Waveform RIFF (.wav) at 256kbps, 4-bit Stereo, 32000Hz, which is about normal mp3 audio quality, more than good enough for FM Radio (considering FM doesn't come close to mp3 quality). You can record ~46 minutes for every 1GB of free space at High Bitrate.
Low Bitrate (default): ADPCM Microsoft Waveform RIFF (.wav) at 67kbps, 4-bit Stereo, 8000Hz, which is generally good enough for normal voice recording for meetings etc. You can record ~178 minutes for every 1GB of free space at Low Bitrate.

If you like what your listening to on the device's built in FM radio, press the 'M' button and you can record it using the device's FM recorder and it will be available for replay and export to your computer as a .wav file. Even if you only get a small piece of it, you can always use what you have to go look up the lyrics and the song later. Warning: You are fully responsible for whatever you choose to copy/record and complying with all copyright laws etc. Recording in Mono does not reduce filesize so you should record in stereo where possible. Recorded files are stored in the "\Record" folder on the flash memory with the filename previx "FMRC". This device saves the radio recorded audio files to the built in internal memory only.

  • Intelligent White Noise removal[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
This modern FM Radio intelligently removes white noise when there is no reception, or when there are breaks in reception (like when you enter a lift or a tunnel)
This radio intelligently removes noise, so when you go out of reception range, you just hear silence or a reduced volume level. White noise may still be heard on rare occasions, or when it is not easy to distinguish between the FM signal and noise, but it is still a very significant reduction. Other cheaper typical radios often output white noise when you go out of range of the radio station which can be quite disturbing when using earphones.

Flash Storage Drive + SD , SDHC Memory Expansion Capability (a.k.a Unlimited Memory) [Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]

  • Portable Flash Drive / Hard Drive[Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
This device can be used to store any type of computer file known to Windows, Linux, Apple Mac OSX etc, just like a flash drive / flash disk / portable hard drive.
This is a stanard feature among most mp3 players today. Simply drag and drop in any computer file you want into this device's memory. It helps to create a new folder for your data files to make it easier to find your data among your music files that may also be in this device. The device isn't affected by the data files you put into the flash memory or external memory card as it just recognises all the types it can play and ignores the rest. You can use the explorer feature to browse all the files inside your device and memory card and delete them accordingly.

  • Memory Expansion / Unlimited Memory* (Micro SD + SDHC/ Trans Flash Slot / Reader, up to 8GB per card)
This Device can read and Hot Swap Micro SD cards Both SD and SDHC up to 8GB in size! - Like you change CD's in a CD player, you can remove and insert new Micro SD cards to access stored songs and videos.
The unique feature of this elegant cutting edge Audio device is to allow it to 'virtually' have as much memory as you want with you, anywhere, anytime you want. Just like a CD Player, Discman, Walkman or Mini-disc player; expandable memory is similar to having to Unlimited memory* capacity, meaning you can carry with you an unlimited amount of music or files in the form of Micro SD memory cards as you would with Music CD's. This device allows you to swap music collections like you swap CD's, which means you can bring as many MP3's and Videos and eBooks along with you as you can hold in as many memory cards as you want, in the same way that you bring CD's with CD players. You can also hotswap Memory Cards, meaning you don't need to turn off the device before changing the memory card (but please pause/stop the file you are playing first to prevent data corruption). Simply swap/switch to a new memory card music collection when you have run out of music in your current card. You will no longer have to decide now about what storage size you might need later! just upgrade the storage size with a Micro SD Card as required, when required.

Micro SD cards are extremely small, cheap, fast and easy to re-use and erase compared to CD's or DVD's, so you may not even need more than 1 or two high capacity memory cards. Just download new songs whenever you get the chance at your computer. (This is a feature that the l-Pod and Many other Mp3 Players and Voice recorders do not have). Don't let your Device drop in value and die out with decreasing prices! MP3's, Radio and voice recorders base technology haven't changed that often compared to the cost of memory, so there is No Need to buy a new MP3 player just to upgrade when the price of memory cards drop, or when more compact storage technology arrives or when larger songs or larger size mp3 players become commonly available.

Insert a MicroSD card into the slot at the base of the device and it will lock in place. To eject, push it inwards again (eg; using your fingernail) and it will partially eject so you can pull the remainder part out from the slot without losing it.

  • Permanent Anti-Shock (Solid State) [Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]
This device has no moving parts that can be easily damaged, unlike some hard drive based players like the l-Pod.
Unlike the Discmans of the past and the l-Pod and l-Pod mini which uses mini hard drives with moving parts that easily fail over time due to excess movement, this device has no real moving parts (with the exception of the antenna, which is required for Digital TV). When playing music or videos without using the antenna, you can shake with reasonable force and it will not affect the quality of your audio output, or affect the play of your music, thereby allowing you to use it effectively during exercise or on the move. Be careful if you have the antenna extended though.

  • Real-time Memory Display
Displays Local Memory and Expansion slot memory (Used and Total sizes)
Accessible from the Main menu > Settings > System Information, you can view the total size of memory available and the portion of memory used, in order to determine free space remaining.

General / Other System Features [Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]

  • Photo / Picture / Map Viewer
Zoom in and out, and scroll various Photos, Maps and Pictures. Works with Bitmap (.bmp), Jpeg (.jpg), and Graphics Interchange Format (.gif) pictures and maps.
If you don't have a GPS navigator, you can always scan or create your own maps at your discretion and upload it to this device. There is generally no known limit to file size and resolution for Jpeg and Bitmap images, (but avoid exceeding 4 megapixels). For clear sharp image zooming, the optimum image size for clear sharp viewing is 640 x 480 (so you can zoom in) Any larger and images will be auto resized to 640x480. However, for .gif files, the maximum resolution for each photo is 640x480 (applies to .gif files only, or they won't open otherwise). As always, press the 'M' button to bring up a list of options like Zoom, Rotate, and Auto Slideshow (called browse in the menu).

  • Triple- OS (Windows, Macintosh & Linux) Compatible
Works with all major operating systems
This device is USB compatible with all major operating systems: WINDOWS 98/98SE/ME/2000/XP/2003/Vista/Windows 7, MACINTOSH OS 8.6, 9.x, 10.x and LINUX kernel 2.4 or later Operating Systems! It is usually plug and play and may only require a driver to be installed for Windows 98 operating systems.

  • Intuitive button controls
    Only a few buttons.
The M button stands for Mode/Menu, you can Tap OR Press and Hold this button to bring up a menu list if one is available at that page, you may be able to use it to select a menu option (normally use the play button is used instead).
The l<< and >>l buttons are for forward and backwards / page scrolling.
The V+ and V- buttons at the side are for Menu up/down selection and volume control / eBook row scrolling (and game functions)
The l>ll (play/pause) button at the left side is for starting and stopping / pausing audio video and selecting a menu option from a menu list.
The U' button stands for 'Previous' or 'Go Back one step'. Pressing it will bring you back to the previous screen or to the previous higher level menu list.

The button is the power button (appears as a Circle with a straight line on the top if you can't see the one on the left) Press and hold to 'properly' turn the device on / off. (make sure the master switch at the bottom is on first. Use this option to turn off the device before switching the master switch off. This prevents data corruption and gives your device time to save all settings.

  • Keypad Lock Timer + Auto shutdown + Backlight Adjustment
Auto locks the keypad when you are not using it / Auto-shutdowns the device / Display to conserve power
Just like your mobile phone, this timer prevents accidental button presses. When enabled, this feature disables all buttons to prevent accidental pressing of buttons and helps prevents the device from turning on or off due to accidental pressure contact with the Play(on/off) button. You can activate or disable this feature from the main menu via Settings>System Settings>. To Un-lock, Press the 'M' button followed by the '>>l' button below it within 1 second. Auto-lock intervals are available in 10sec / 30sec / 5min / 10min intervals. The auto shutdown can be activated or disabled from the main menu via Settings. You can also select between 3 / 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 minute intervals. To save power without shutting down the device, you can also use the lightness and backlight light time duration via the main menu > Settings > Display settings. Light mode adjusts how the display will behave when the Backlight is off ('All Dark' totally shuts off the LCD, (saves power, recommended), while Penumbra will still display a picture without any backlight (uses more power, but can be read under a light source)

Usage Instructions [Text & Images Contain Registered Copyrighted Material of Internetional Business And logistics and its owner(s)]

Initially, when you receive the device, Do Not cut or tear the specially custom made reflective ESD protective bag. Also, Do Not throw it away. Carefully remove the tape on the back of the mirror packaging and remove the device. You can / should use this bag as a storage case to protect against static damage while in use with static charged environments / clothing. Keep the bag and put this device inside it whenever it is practical to do so; (eg; when listening to mp3 music, but Not when using the FM radio or TV features as the ESD design blocks reception)

To start off, in simple terms, for first time users, the device is connected via USB cable to the computer; The computer will detect the device and try to install the drivers required to access the device. After a short while, two new drives icons should appear in the "my computer" window (if you are using the windows operating system). One drive icon represents the built in memory, the other icon represents the memory from the Memory card.

Note: The manufacturer includes 4-6 test music files by default. If you would like, you can choose to re-format the mp3 player before you double click / open / access the contents of the mp3 player. To format, right click on the Mp3 player drive icon and select format. Then do a full format (note there are two drive icons, so select the proper one). If this resets the language and you can't read the language, follow the instructions stated earlier in this advertisement under "System Restore (Reset to Factory default)" for how to change the language back to english. Once you are done, copy ".mp3" files, ".wma" files or ".wav" files into the root directory of one or both of these drives (you can also organise them into folders and play them in their groups later from the music menu'). Now that you have copied all your desired music or files over, disconnect the device safely (Windows Xp / Vista may have a remove item icon in the tray bar that you may like to use). Switch the power switch to the ON position and press and hold the "power" button for a few seconds to turn it on.

No user manual is provided for the basic functions because the rest is intuitive and you should have no problems identifying what each function does when you look at it.

Read the advertisment above for instructions on how to use each individual function. If you want to do more, Press the "M" button to access the menu screens available. Some functions require you to press and HOLD the 'M' button down too. You can adjust audio quality when playing music by pressing the M button during music play. Some menus, like the Music / DVB-T / Settings Menu, have more options than those initially displayed on screen, so remember to use the arrow buttons to scroll through the full list of options available. To move back or change the folder, just press the U shaped arrow button.

To save all settings, press and hold the circular power button to power down the device before turning it off at the master switch. (If you just flip the master switch first, any settings you make will Not be saved)

You can also connect the device to another computer, and you can copy files from the device out to the other computer, in the same way you copied them in. You can mix mp3 files and other computer files together in this device. The player is smart enough to single out only the files it can play for each respective function and won't try to play any other computer file.

Recording to Mp3 is Free and Easy. First record in WAV as the default so you can convert your audio to Mp3 Later. Then just drag and drop your recorded file into Audacity and then click on 'File' and select 'Export as Mp3'. The Audacity software can be obtained for free from www.download.com. You will also need the oddly named 'Lame Mp3 encoder' "lame_enc.dll" available free online (Click here to get it).

To create lyric files for your music, we will use an example for the song name called "Yesterday_once_more.mp3". The lyric file is called "Yesterday_once_more.lrc" You can download this sample lyric file here. Open it with notepad or a professional lyric creator. It is very easy to make lyric files. Once you are done, make sure the lyrics file has the same name of the mp3 file (except the extension which should be .lrc) then copy the lyric file into the same location as the mp3 file the lyrics are for.)

DVB-T Instructions:

DVB-T Quickstart guide:.
1. From the main menu select DVB-T.
2. Under the DVB-T menu, Select Area Setting and Time zone Diversity Setting and choose a similar country and time zone to you
3. Extend the antenna all the way (and attach the device to an external antenna if available using the included alligator clip jump cable (see picture below)
4. Under the DVB-T menu, select Autoscan, and wait for the scan to complete. "Program Num" states the number of channels detected.
5. Select Video Broadcast from the DVB-T Menu to start watching DVB-T. Program information is a larger version of the EPG (EPG is also displayed while viewing for the first few seconds).

Our opinion about its features

Good points?: Most of it's good points are already mentioned above; This is one of the most feature packed Mp3 player / Portable Digital TV combinations. The music player feature is very good, especially with the 5 bar manual user adjustable equalizer not seen on many other mp3 players. The expansion slot on this device is one of the first to accept MicroSD cards up to 8GB, we tested it ourselves. If you use just one of these 'smaller than your thumbnail' sized memory cards, you can store around 2 DVD's worth of video and music, which you can hotswap and exchange on the fly. By connecting the device directly to our building's aerial port using the jumper cable, we could receive around 26 channels while on DVB-T mode (even duplicate broadcasts from the some stations on different channels eg: 7 Digital 1, 2, 3 etc).

At this price, we think it has the potential to replace and out-perform many other WAV/MP3/WMA Players, Flash Drives, Audio Recorders and Radios on the market today. With Unlimited Memory* and so many features, we don't think many other devices can match it at this price.

Any Bad points?
We would like to notify you of the following known issues so there are no nasty surprises: Remember, reception is not an issue of money; If there is No reception, not even a Multibillion dollar antenna will give you any channels unless you put it in range of the signals. (Digital TV signals tend to be scattered all over the place in different strengths and pathways). Some countries like Australia currently broadcast in both Analog and Digital, this means the signals tend to be weaker (as stations cut costs and conserve power), so until Digital goes mainstream and analog is cut off, expect poorer reception to be an issue due to the station's reduced powered transmission, especially when using the device's small antenna or if you are in a remote area or indoors. It is not likely you will get all available channels using the small antenna. The jumper cable (or core winding) method of connecting to another antenna is actually a makeshift solution to improve reception; it just happened to work really well when we decided to try it, so we adopted it as standard. In reality, the manufacturer actually doesn't specify using a jumper cable to connect to an external antenna.

The small bundled telescopic antenna is, by matter of fact of small antennas, not very powerful simply because it is small. This is normal and is a fact of reality and is to be expected in all small antennas that we know of and is not something we, you, nor the manufacturer can do anything about unless you connect it to a bigger antenna and reposition it where there is reception. Reception depends heavily on your local broadcasting station's broadcasting power and moving the antenna to an area of good reception. Digital is not the same as analog, and having a poor reception will cause pauses and stuttering in video and audio, not mere static appearing on screen as with analog. We recommend you purchase this device for its superior Audio and Video playback + Expandable SD+SDHC memory capability instead, not so much for Digital TV unless you are willing to connect it to a more powerful antenna that already has proven DVB-T reception, even then, the jumper cable or coil winding methods are not perfect, and channels may stutter a bit now and then. You can choose to manually solder/weld a proper antenna/cable connect to it at your own discretion to improve this. As with most electronic devices with antennas, lightning strikes and static will damage this device (if it relies on an antenna, it really can't be helped); so please KEEP the ESD bag your order arrives in (eg; snip off the tip and use it as a carrying bag to protect it against static while in use or in storage). Do not put it in your coat pocket if it tends to build up static charges easily, and do not use it under a blanket that often builds up a static charge; eg; on a cold dry day with low humidity. The ESD Bag has its limitations. The MicroSD (TF) card slot is also very small, so take care when handling these tiny high capacity memory cards!. In rare instances, you may need to press the card from different points to get it to eject from this device, the card can get stuck at some times but it is rare and you will usually get it out just fine either way. The included default earphones are not that great compared to our extreme earphones which we sell at our other auctions, so do check out our extreme bass acoustics earphones to maximise your audio experience.

If your order does not arrive after 3 weeks, please file an item not received claim with eBay or PayPal for them to investigate; If your claim is rejected or if the claim is decided in our favour, we request that you respect eBay''s or PayPal's decision and do not to leave any feedback for this transaction, or we may take legal action against you. Any warranty time period available for item's shipped by risky shipping methods is officially counted from the date of despatch, and not on the date of delivery.

It is EXTREMELY important that you put the right identification as a reference with your payment. Please put your identification with your payment eg: enter it in the "reference box" when paying via internet banking, or write it on a piece of paper and send it with your cheque or money order. If you don't do this, we cannot match your payment with your order, resulting in long delays. PayPal should automatically do this unless you use the 'send money' option.

Identification should be your Username or the Item number ; (especially the last 6 digits). Please do not put anything else.

If you want to pay by bank deposit, which only allows numbers as reference, please ask the bank teller to put the last 6 digits of the item number as reference so it "appears on our statement". (Bank tellers often mess this part up.) If they cannot do that, you must send us an email with your "Username" and the "branch BSB code" of the branch where you deposited your payment.

(If you are paying for a multiple item purchase, simply put your Username or any one of the item numbers as identification if you cannot fit all of them in.)

Payment terms and conditions: You must not bid or purchase this item if you do not agree to any of the following conditions: Payments must be made in Australian Dollars and must be able to be cashed or tendered in Australia. The only method of payment accepted for payments made outside of Australia is by Visa or Mastercard or through all payment methods accepted by PayPal. Placing a bid on this item is a contract to purchase it. We will send you an invoice automatically or manually within 24 hours of your purchase. Unless otherwise stated, payment is due within 14 days of purchase to a maximum of 28 days (for combined shipments only). Payment deadlines can be reasonably extended upon request to a maximum of 28 days. If payment is not received after 14 days, we have the right to cancel the transaction, re-list the item for sale, sell it to another person, return you your payment (excluding costs) if it is received later, file a dispute, and or utilize a debt collection agency to collect any amount you owe. An item is not paid for unless the payment has cleared. Clearing times are estimates and we do not guarantee clearing times. We only dispatch goods after payment has cleared in full.

If you purchased this item and no longer want it, please let us know and we will consider cancelling the transaction for a small fee without penalty. This is to cover the eBay's listing fee and or administration costs.

If you do not do this, we are not obliged to entertain any nDOA warranty requests. However, you are still entitled to the original warranty service if it is available for your item. We are not responsible for items getting damaged or lost during transit in any way whatsoever. You must purchase insurance if you require financial protection against damage or loss in transit. You must purchase additional insulation protection if you require additional protection against possible physical damage such as from shock or rough handling during shipment.

If it does get lost or damaged, you will be able to arrange insurance compensation with the postal service or by using the warranty provided by item's manufacturer.

Device failure can be caused by many reasons, and it is extremely difficult to decide who will be held accountable, and sometimes neither buyer nor seller is at fault as items can get damaged in transit through the postal service or through other unexpected non physical circumstances (eg; failure due to electromagnetic radiation / Excessive high or low temperatures while in transport / security xray scans etc..) Therefore, if insurance compensation cannot be arranged from the postal service, both seller and buyer agree to share the shipping obligations for getting an item replaced. If an item is damaged and its warranty is not void or expired, the buyer agrees to pay all shipping fees to return the item to us. Likewise, and we will also pay all shipping fees necessary to send the item back to the place the buyer sent it from. If you do not agree to this, we recommend you select and purchase shipping insurance and additional protective insulation.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Question: The device cannot read my music/video files!
Answer: Is your music file the correct type? this device only accepts the formats listed above

Question: The LCD screen is faded / blurry and i cannot see the wording clearly.
Answer: Go to the settings menu and increase the contrast, you may like to remove the rubber plastic protector covering the screen.

Question: How can i use this device to play music / audio / power it when connected to the computer
Answer: Use the safely remove hardware function in Windows, this will terminate the data connection so only the power connection remains and the device will return to its normal usable state while drawing power from the USB port. Do NOT unplug the device from the USB port.

Question: How many songs can the device hold?
Answer: Many average Mp3 songs (128kbps bit rate, 5 Minute long) are around 4MB in size. Divide memory size by audio file size and you will get an approximate answer. eg: 2GB Built in memory divide by 4MB file size = 500 songs. You can increase this significantly using the unlimited memory function (memory card expansion slot)

Question: Can the device record directly to the Expansion Card?
Answer: No. You can record audio directly to Internal 2GB memory only, which is usually far more than enough. So we recommend you leave the internal memory free and store all your Music, Videos and files on the Expansion slot instead.

Question: Do i need to get a memory card to use this device? Are Memory cards included?
Answer: 2GB memory is included for free, built into the device. Memory cards are not required to use it. Additional memory cards (MicroSD or Transflash) must be purchased separately.

Question: Can i use 4GB and 8GB and 16GB Micro SDHC Cards ?
Answer: Yes, this device can support up to 8GB MicroSD and Micro SDHC (HC = High capacity) Cards. If / when 16GB / 32GB cards come out, it should be fine as this device works with MicroSDHC.

Question: If i buy a 8GB Memory card and put it into the device, will i get 10 GB?
Answer: Yes, the total memory will be 2GB + 8GB built-in = Approx 10GB.

Question: Why do i only have 1.9GB of free space available when the free space should be 2GB?
Answer: Some memory is used by system files. Also, memory space and computers use different definitions of a Gigabyte . 1GB can have two different meanings. For example, to memory manufacturers, 1GB means 1000,000,000 Bytes. But to windows and other operating systems, 1GB means 1024,000,000 bytes.

Question: Does this device have Voice Activated recording?
Answer: It has voice recording, but it is activated by button presses and is not activated by voice (no audio on/off sensor).

Question: I keep getting the "One or more USB devices connected has malfunctioned" message from windows when connecting it to my computer via USB.
Answer: This rare problem is usually the host computer that is at fault and not the audio player itself. The problem may be related to a large number of devices , or similar devices being accessed through one USB hub, or by the unsafe removal of devices from a USB port in the past, which may confuse the computer, or a lack of power supplied to the device. We recommend that you try the device on another computer, or try connecting it to another USB port on the computer that is experiencing the problem. We have encountered this problem a few times in the past, but we solved it permanently by using another USB port on the same computer just for the mp3 player. This solution however, may vary between computers.
