About Me

MUNDARA

Artist, Actor, Author, Designer, Educator and Elder

Mundara is a renowned International Aboriginal artist. His totem is the Rainbow Serpent. Mundara was born in the Eora (Sydney) area and is a descendant of the Gamilaroi people. Mundara was the first Contemporary Aboriginal artist to exhibit in Europe in 1995, he was also one of a small group of artist to exhibit in Moscow, Russia. He is also the author of the contemporary Aboriginal Dreamtime story 'The Little Platypus and the Fire Spirit" and illustrator of the widely used law book "Indigenous People and the Law" and the Mabo Land Rights Package for students and communities.

Mundara's artwork is unique and with a contemporary edge reflections of the ancient history of his people, the land and the Dreaming.

Paintings are accompanied with a Dreamtime story, Artist Profile, Sign information sheet and Label of Authenticity.
