Produced by Railmac Publications, Elizabeth, South Australia in 1997. G 123 is a survivor of bthe once numerous G class of steam locomotives operated by the WAGR. They were introduced in 1889 and could be found throughout the state. Small but useful locomotives a number of the class were sold for further use in the timber industry when no longer required by the WAGR. After a number of years in preservation G 123 was transferred to Dwellingup in 1987 for use on the Etmilyn Forest Tramway. This postcard was photographed in August 1991, while waiting to depart from Dwellingup. |
