Teflon / PTFE Turret / Standoff / Post / Terminal - Small (Qty.25)

On offer are several lots, each of 25 new (old stock) wiring posts.

These little posts are great for projects constructed with point-to-point wiring of leaded components (as opposed to SMD, rather than ROHS).

Just drill holes in a baseplate/chassis of aluminium or unetched PCB material and push fit them in place from below. Component leads can then be wrapped around the pin and soldered in place.

The short connection protruding from below forms a useful test point (and indeed Farnell describes these parts as Test Connectors).

The PTFE/teflon construction suits them well to high quality circuitry where low loss, low noise and/or higher voltages are important. Examples that come to mind are:

Audiophile projects (low noise)
RF work to UHF (high frequency)
Tube / Valve projects (high voltage)
Test & Measurement projects (low leakage)
Harsh environments (high temperatures)
