Hardcover with unmarked black cloth textured boards with crisp gilt titling to uncreased spine; no bumps or shelf wear; secure binding; clean regular text block; clean text sharp page corners, no inscriptions or other alien marking; not malodorous; no foxing or discoloration, reproduced press cuttings as endpapers. Excellent condition.

The dustwrapper has no loss, is not clipped ("GBP 14.99 net in UK only"); full colour high gloss, not faded, torn, defaced or impressed; but rubbed and chipped along top and bottom edges and with internal magic tape repairs to heel and crown to stabilise.

1955 cross desert transit in 8hp Morris Traveller, rescue by the French Foreign Legion, and diplomatic incident. Illustrated.
