Photo Cards

Photo cards are a great way to announce the arrival of baby to your friends and family.  Having a new baby can be a very busy time so let me help you with your photo card announcements.  All you need to do is fill out the order form and email me a picture(s) and I will print and express post the cards with envelopes to you.

Ordering

Once you have selected a design and complete check-out, then email a high resolution jpeg file of the image(s) you would like in your photo card to amanda@mjcards.com.au. Email should also include:

• Baby's name;
• Birthday and time;
• Weight and length;
• Parents and siblings names;
• Message

Once I have received these details I will prepare a proof for your approval within 48 hours. 

I will wait for final approval of the proof and payment before sending your high resolution jpeg file to your designated email address. 

Cards can be adapted for any occasion.  So if you see a card in the birth announcement section you would like for a christening invitation then please note it when ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I purchase a jpeg file to print from instead of cards?

Yes.  Please go to my ebay store to find a design listing for $15.00.

Can I have different colours and fonts?

Yes, each card can be customised so different colours, fonts, colour, black and white or sienna photos can be used and quantity of photo boxes can be changed.

I have an idea in mind of a design that isn’t listed; can you do it up for me?

I am happy to design cards from scratch if you have a particular idea in mind.  I won’t however do a design that you have seen elsewhere as I am sure they have put a lot of time an effort in coming up with their designs and it is a breach of copyright.

I have seen a birth announcement that I would like as a Christening Invitation is that possible?

Any deisgn can be used for any occasion so browse through my store to see other designs.

Is there a minimum order?

Do the cards come with envelopes?

The cards come with a white C6 envelope included in the cost.

Do you have other purchase options?

Magnets can be added for an extra 20c per card and flat card stock to mount the cards on can be added for 50c per card.

How much is postage?

Postage within Australia is free and express posted.  Postage overseas is $15.00.  I post items on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Payment is through direct debit or paypal.  Direct debit is preferred.

What resolution photo should I send through and should I adjust it for you?

Preferably send 1800 x 1200 pixel image set at 240 d.p.i or higher.  No need to change lighting or adjust to black and white or sienna as I can do this.

Can I use professional photos?

Professional photos can be used as long as you have a release from the photographer otherwise it is breach of copyright.  If you do not have a release I am happy to play with your images to give them a more professional look.

Can I email several pictures if I can’t decide which one(s) to use?

You can email many pictures from which I will select the required number.  If you have one in particular you would like to be used then please let me know.

How long until I get the proof?

I will usualy email a proof within 24 hours of receiving payment and the email with the photo and design details.

I haven’t received a proof after 24hours?

Sometimes when it is busy it may take up to 48 hours.  If you still haven’t received a proof after 48 hours please check your spam/ junk mail folder as sometimes they are sent there.  If you still haven’t received the proof, please email me or call on 0413 590 191.

How many changes can be made to the proof before charges are incurred?

Unlike other companies, I will keep making changes until you are completely satisfied with the card free of charge.

Can I get a refund or cancel the sale?

A full refund will be issued if the sale is cancelled before a proof has been emailed.  Once the proof has been emailed 25% will be refunded.  Once the cards have been printed no refund is available

I received my cards and noticed an error will you pay for new printing?

I will not print cards until I have received the approval to do so.  An error noticed after the cards have been approved and printed is the responsiblity of the buyer.

The colour of the cards is slightly different to the colour of proof, why is this?

Most monitors are calibrated differently, have different settings and show at different resolutions so colours show a little different on different computers and print differently.

I realised I needed more cards printed do you keep the original design on file to get more cards printed from?

Designs are kept active for 3 months before being archived.  A minimum of 15 cards need to be ordered for a repeat order.
