When we can pick up the instrument of our choice whether it be piano, guitar, violin, trumpet, trombone etc., start to play and at the same time
"hear" the musical sounds in our head and and know how the notes relate to each other and fit together, we are ecstatic. We have more time to concentrate on the physical application of the three basis ingredients of learning: the use of the HEAD, HEART, HANDS, in unison.
This is Book No.1 of three introducing a simplified and fully detailed musical concept for assisting budding musicians or anyone wishing just to
find out just how to do this.

The idea was suggested to me by friends who could play snippets on the piano and guitar, but were frustrated in not knowing " WHY IS IT SO ".
After we had spent a few happy hours talking and playing around with the basics they asked me to put pen to paper.
Prior to that, they had been reading books that were great but according to them, seemed to skip from one section to another too quickly.
Consequently they felt they were taking on a task too huge for them to tackle and felt like giving up.
A Teacher/student relationship was recommended, but mostly they just wanted to get to know what to do with the fingers to enjoy making a nice
sound as well as understand what they were doing.  Some wanted to play a little better at the friendly  "sing-a-long",  and some wanted to just
"take a break" from University studies.

I have been a professional musician for 55 years, playing piano, keyboards, trumpet, trombone, and can honestly say that the effort in absorbing
this other "language" is well worth it, even though we never seem to get to the end of the musical rainbow. There is always "more".
And that's what this series is all about. It's not intended to pursue advanced techniques for the classical or jazz buff, but to try and  "fill in the gaps"
from the beginning to a place where the reader can start to " enjoy " and  " become adventurous ".
That's why it's called  " SIMPLY MY MUSIC. "  And hopefully, that's what it will be for you.
Because I still perform I am not available at the computer all of the time, and sometimes it is difficult for me to reply to questions as quickly as
I would like. Therefore, I can be reached through an email site "bobbyk@bigpond.net.au" and/or phone 61-0407454063. I also reserve the
right to sell this product privately.
